Is this PDF compressor free?
Yes. There is no signup, payment or watermark. You can process one PDF at a time, within the upload limit shown above.
Will it change my text or page layout?
The tool rewrites PDF data without turning pages into images. Text, fonts and page dimensions are retained. Original quality does not change image data. Balanced and Smaller file can reduce the quality of eligible RGB JPEG images. Always review the result before sharing.
Why is my PDF the same size?
Some PDFs are already compressed efficiently. Other files contain images that cannot be safely optimized by this tool. If the new PDF is not smaller, we return your original file unchanged.
Which PDFs are supported?
This tool supports standard PDFs with classic cross-reference tables. Password-protected files, PDFs with signature fields, certified documents, PDF 2.0 files and PDFs using compressed cross-reference or object streams are not supported. If your file is rejected, export a standard PDF without object compression from its original application, if that option is available.
What happens to my uploaded document?
Your PDF is uploaded to our server and processed in temporary storage. We do not create a public file link or send it to a third-party compression service. Temporary files are removed when processing and the response finish; your download stays available in this browser tab until you reset it or leave.
Can I compress a PDF to exactly 100 KB or 200 KB?
A particular target size cannot be guaranteed. The smallest useful size depends on the number of pages, existing compression and images in the document.
